    Description

If you are a lover of ancient Greek history and fancy a journey into your imagination, then this is the tour for you. This tour will take you back to the ancient Korkyra.
Your expert guide will lead you around the newly-refurbished Archaeological Museum that reopened its doors in 2018. It has over 1,600 exhibits for you to view along with accompanied narration of the history of Ancient Corfu. Among them is the monumental legend of the 6th century BC, one of the most renowned figures of Greek mythology; the depiction of Medusa.
At the monument of Menecrates in Garista, you will see the oldest archaic inscription in the whole of Greece. The most impressive part of the monument can only be read upside down. Your guide will inform you about religion and life in ancient Corfu, bringing the ancient world to life as you explore the ruins of ancient temples and baths.
At the area of Kanoni, you will view the Mon Repos estate and be amazed by its lushness. The 19th century villa was the former royal residence, and now houses numerous archaeological exhibits. You will walk through its wonderful halls and discover their beauty!
When the tour is over, your guide will give you instructions about how to go back to town. But while you are here, why not take a walk in the beautiful estate or head to the seaside? Kardaki is the nearest beach, close to Kardaki spring, and it’s great for a refreshing swim.

    Places to explore
