Will make you fall in love with Corfu! I wasn’t very sure about Corfu, as a town, until I took this tour. Now I love it! Efi shared beautiful stories about the town, its history and architecture, legends and folklore. She was able to point to random buildings on our walk, tell us about the families who built them, their story and role in history. The tour had a very positive and friendly atmosphere, Efi is a very passionate guide and happy to answer all questions about the island, and stay in touch even after the tour. We’re just sorry there was no time for us to take some of her other thematic tours, especially the Achilleion one, as we loved the palace, but we did not feel we got the whole picture. We ended up asking Efi about this building also, on her evening tour, and she filled us in.

My wife and I have been on lots of walking tours over the years in various cities but I’ve got to say this was one of the most enjoyable and rememberable, Efi is a super tour guide she had heaps of knowledge and was both engaging and informative and and spoke great English.
We did the evening tour with wine, I expected a cheap glass of unpleasant wine but was very surprised that we were taken to one of the very nice bars overlooking the square and we were given a really good glass of wine and snacks.

I genuinely can’t recommend The evening guided tour with wine more highly, next time we will do the ghost stories evening Tour.

We thoroughly enjoyed this alternative walking tour of Corfu Town led by Efi an excellent guide whose experience and local knowledge was very evident from the start. The tours length was ideal as there is so much to take in and a break for Greek coffee in the middle was just perfect to experience the local life. We visited sites, monuments and historical properties which we would never had been aware of otherwise and gained an insight into the historical development of Corfu town and its wider setting, how the inhabitants lived and worked and the impact of the numerous settlers who arrived during the Byzantine, Venetian, French, British and Ottoman era’s. An experience which greatly enhanced our knowledge of this beautiful town and all thanks to an expert guide, brought up and educated on the island, and who we had the privilege to have known.

Fantastic tour! The guide is very knowledgeable and his English is perfect. The tour is not just about WWII, it also illuminates modern Greece and the aftermath of the war. I highly recommend doing this tour if you want to enjoy stories of Corfu’s history and culture. We really learned a lot and it enriched our understanding of and appreciation for Corfu. Plan to walk/stand for 2.5 hours.

The ghost stories tour with Efi was an exciting ghost-apocalyptic experience. Efi was excellently informed in popular legends and beliefs of the area as well as in historical facts about the city of Corfu that you do not find in the tourist catalogs. We walked at night in beautiful narrow alleys (known as kantounia) of the city that give a baroque and romantic feeling of another era. Efi gave us the opportunity to see night images in cantons of the city that as a tourist you will not meet. Her motivation and the night walk away from the crowdy touristic streets in the beautiful city made the experience fantastic. We recommend this tour for sure!!!

Fantastic! Me and my girlfriend attended this experience during our short break to Corfu and it was the highlight of our trip. The cultural tour with Effie was so thorough and interesting, we both found it so surprising how culturally rich Corfu is.

Effie was a great guide, she was more than happy to take pictures for us and recommend some great restaurants in the town.

The wine tasting experience was unbelievable, Stamatis made us some incredible food that he had expertly paired with some Greek wines, he even had a composer write music that would complement each different pairing.

Me and my girlfriend were blown away by this experience and I couldn’t recommend it enough to anyone who is visiting Corfu.

Colorful context to a lovely Island! This was a fantastic tour that added some color and insights into a magical island and city. As a guide, Magda was great. Her personality, sense of humor and deep knowledge of history (she is a licensed Greek your guide that studied history) made the tour. I learned so much about Corfu and Corfu Town that I simply would not have gathered by walking around. Magda was especially great with the children of our group. She took the time to answer their questions and spoke with them directly. Her English is perfect and she even speaks some Italian. I wholeheartedly recommended this tour for adults and children alike!

Here’s a fort! Just like the history of Corfu itself, the history of the two forts — the Old Fort in front of town and the New Fort behind — is a composite of contributions from various nations. First the Byzantines, then the Venetians and later the British. There’s even a spot where a Russian solider has written his name in concrete at the beginning of the 19th century. All this, and more, is brilliantly brought to life by Antreas, who is the most knowledgeable, fluent and fascinating guide that you could hope for.
